Sayo Ayodele
Sayo is a Director at Greenwood Place. She has over a decade of experience leading social impact partnerships with companies and foundations.
Sayo is passionate about the role of capital in creating a better world. She played a prominent role in multi-sectoral collaborations such as the BankingFutures project - an initiative focused on making the UK’s financial sector more sustainable and inclusive. Sayo also served on the board of Make My Money Matter, where she advanced the organization's mission to move trillions of pounds in pensions into ethical investments.
Prior to joining Greenwood Place, Sayo was a Partner at Leaders’ Quest (LQ), an organisation that works with leaders from business, government and civil society on building a more sustainable, equitable world. She has designed dozens of ‘Quests’ – experiential events focused on learning from entrepreneurs, innovators, change-makers, academics and community organisers who are changing the world around them - in Africa, the Middle East, Europe and Asia. At LQ, Sayo also led climate-focused systems change initiatives such as Countdown, a partnership with TED focused on accelerating solutions to climate change. She also led the UN Climate Champions’ People Engagement team in the lead-up to COP26 in Glasgow.
Sayo has an MSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics, where she was a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar. Beyond her professional commitments, Sayo has two sons, is an avid runner, and an active member of a local amateur choir.
