Claire Naylor-Trein

Claire is a Senior Associate at Greenwood Place. Her grant making work is informed by her decade of experience co-leading international charities at both grassroots and regional levels. Before joining Greenwood Place, Claire launched and grew gender equity initiatives across South and Southeast Asia. Most recently, she served as Executive Director of Wedu, an organisation  focused on closing gender leadership gap in Asia through mentoring, leadership programmes, and education financing. 

Prior to Wedu, she piloted adolescent-girl-led models of development at Women LEAD Nepal while growing the organisation from the ground up. Outside of Greenwood Place, Claire advances the leadership journeys of women from the majority world as a mentor and executive coach. She has earned degrees in Gender and International Development from Georgetown University and Impact Evaluation from the University of Sussex.
